BSA Troop 617 meets in the EPIC Center on Monday evenings at University Carillon United Methodist Church.  Troop 617 is a member of the Little Econ District of the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

We offer an exceptional Scouting program with many trained leaders from all walks of life.  In the 2009/10 Scouting year, Troop 617 has the opportunity to spend 30+ nights camping including trips to Sea Base in Florida, Northern Tier in Minnesota, summer camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and multiple day hikes and preperation campouts for older scouts.  We have a year long Troop Calendar, an up to date Troop Meeting Schedule and an active Email Distribution List to keep everyone up to date on a daily basis.  Troop 617 is a "Boy Led" troop, meaning the Troop is run by the Scouts for the Scouts.

If you are interested in joining Troop 617 please feel free to drop by and visit with us on Monday nights.  You may want to check our Calendar to make sure we are meeting before heading over.  It is also a good idea to call ahead and let us know you are coming to visit so we will be sure to have materials on hand that you will find helpful when looking at Scout Troops.
