BSA Troop 617 offers an exceptional Scouting program where the Scouts learn and grow by doing. Troop 617 is a "Boy Led" troop, meaning the Troop is run by the Scouts for the Scouts. In a typical Scouting year, Scouts have the opportunity to spend 30+ nights camping including monthly campouts, summer camp, one or more trips to BSA high-adventure bases (Philmont Scout Ranch in NM, Sea Base in FL, Northern Tier in MN, and Bechtel Summit in WV) along with hikes and training campouts for older scouts. The Troop has many trained leaders from all walks of life to support the boys in their Scouting adventure.
Troop 617 meets at the University Carillon EPICenter on Monday evenings at 7 pm. If you are interested in joining Troop 617, feel free to drop by and visit with us on a Monday night, or send us an email using the Contact Us form on this site.
